As a leading personal lines insurer in the Northeast, we are looking for an expert to manage our email marketing strategies and lifecycle journeys through Salesforce Marketing Cloud. As the Email Marketing Specialist, your focus will be on developing creative and compelling email campaigns that foster engagement and delivers results. You will need thorough knowledge of email marketing dos and don’ts, best practices for list building and nurturing, and email service provider integration. You live and breathe data, and innovating and optimizing campaigns is your idea of a great day in the office. You have a few years of email marketing under your belt and are a champion of developing rigorous testing and optimization for automated and event-triggered campaigns. You are passionate about finding new ways to engage audiences by delivering personalized, relevant and meaningful content. This individual will have a hands-on, entrepreneurial role within the in-house Enterprise Agency.

Roles/Responsibilities:
  • Own day-to-day email marketing activities including coding and building campaigns, creating data extensions and data filters, audience segmentation, template creation, form building, testing, configuration and deployment of blast, trigger and campaign journeys
  • Own the strategic plan to drive increased engagement for our newsletters, trigger and transactional email campaigns
  • Design, implement, and analyze testing strategies for improving email results
  • Design, build, launch and optimize personalized and automated campaign journeys to support engagement, remarketing and retention strategies
  • Serve as an administrator of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform: Triage and trouble shoot production issues and enhancements in collaboration with technology and business partners; identify root cause, potential solutions and communicate statuses and follow up
  • Develop and monitor KPIs and reports to provide campaign performance analysis, including insights and recommendations for improving results and be responsible for success metrics
  • Ensure all emails follow best practices and are CAN-SPAM compliant
  • Own inbox placement, deliverability, content optimization and testing
  • Develop and implement list hygiene strategy
  • Improve opt-in rates for customer and blog newsletters, campaigns and triggers
  • Support the digital marketing team with new and exciting initiatives including mobile, SMS/text communications  and website optimization
What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Email coding (HTML/CSS) for responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility
  • Building data extensions and data filters
  • Applying email marketing best practices for optimal targeting and reach
  • Utilizing automation platform to optimize efficiency & effectiveness of campaigns
  • Conducting A/B testing and post-campaign analysis
  • Creating communication journeys via email and mobile with Journey Builder
  • Developing business plans to leverage and optimize use of Salesforce Marketing Cloud throughout the organization including use of Journey Builder, data extensions, drip campaigns, and email personalization
  • Providing detailed analytics and insights to improve deliverability, open, click and visits to our website, blog, landing pages and digital properties
  • Upgrading our email templates using graphics, personalization and advanced features
  • Identifying opportunities for leveraging email marketing as an acquisition and retention channel, driving toward key objectives
What You Need:
  • BA/BS degree with 3+ years of hands on experience coding, developing and deploying email journeys, automations and campaigns in an ESP
  • Experience working with Salesforce Marketing Cloud including Journey Builder and Automation Studio is required
  • Proficient hands-on HTML & and inline CSS skills for email required
  • Experience supporting database set up and management
  • Strong understanding of technical integrations between ESPs and internal/external data and CRM solutions
  • Deep understanding of email principles (design, build, and segmentation) and email best practices (deliverability, A/B testing, dynamic content, campaign automation, etc.).
  • Proficiency with data analytics and reporting (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Excel)
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills
  • Strong written and verbal and communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of CAN-SPAM compliancy
  • Basic knowledge of SQL a plus
  • Experience with landing page software, Photoshop, Dreamweaver a plus
